Octane Fest, Dew Tour & Iowa Speedway
July 2nd, 2008Right after I got home from the Journeys Tour I packed up my van and headed up to Reno NV for a demo at an Unwritten Law concert. The show was bad ass, that band still rips!
An 8 hour drive home Sunday then off to Baltimore MD for the first stop of the AST Dew Tour. I had to be there early for Open Qualifying. There was a lot of good riders there and i knew it was going to hard to make it. I ended up sticking my run and made it into one of the eight open spots that advanced to the pre-lims. I was pumped to make it, it had been one of my goals for a while now. The next day I missed the Finals by a few spots and ended up 14th overall. I will be at the rest of the Dew Tour stops battling to get into the finals!
I flew straight from Baltimore Saturday afternoon to ride a demo at Iowa Speedway on Sunday morning… Or I tried to at least, my flight was a nightmare and to make a long story short I got to the speedway at 4am with no gear bag in sight. I got a couple hours of sleep then borrowed some gear that didn’t really fit and a ‘97 McGrath replica helmet from a fan…We did one show before the race and despite of all the problems it went really well, the Indy car fans were stoked. We spent the rest of the day up in the suite watching the race.

I stopped just short of Reno for a couple days to stay with Jones and ride with him, Foster and Miller @ Millers place

No foot Nac in between sets in Reno

Flip Indy in B town

Cliffhanger…

Rusty Wallace is one cool dude and let us hang in his suite and drink his beers while watching the race
